Here some 4K snaps from our next Vlog about our last vacation, This time we where in Gdank.
These are all frames from 4K H265 video (4:2:2).

De first one was shot with the 28-200, but I didn't use filter (stupid me) and the light was very bright, so I used a very low shutter angle (11 degrees If I remeber correctly), and a high aperture value. The shot suffered a bit from it. Next time I use my filter again.
The other 4 pictures are also frames from 4K video, but where taken after sunset, with the Sigma 16-28. Iam happy with these results.

Complete video will go online in one or two weeks, but I wanted to share something...

O yeah: the night shots have some hallation, that is an effect added in Davinci Resolve. That was not in the orginal files.

Very nice shots. Did you record the whole video with the 65:24 aspect ratio?

Thank you. Not recorded like that, I do it in post so that I have some spare 'pixels' if I want to change the view a little.

EDIT: Sorry, wrong thread. I should have entered this into the September 2024 thread ...

Today was Portland's annual "SW Sunday Parkways" pedestrian & bicycle event. The route passes within a block of my home. Information and map here. Lots of clever bicycle contraptions, including the "Boom Bike", which consists of a stationary bike with a generator powering a guitar amplifier, complete with a small wheeled stage pulled by a bicycle. The close-up is a detail grabbed from a video frame. A fun family-friendly event.

Nice. Love the advertising board for the weed shop !!

I've worked in PDX a few times, touring B'Way shows through the Keller Auditorium... Killed a few brain cells post-show at the old Veritable Quandary (R.I.P.). Please remember me to Powell's Books and Voodoo Donuts.

Sometimes it seems like there's a weed shop on every block here. :)

I'm truly jealous, there are still Draconian laws here stating jail if you grow just for yourself and it gives a market to criminal enterprise.

Years ago supermarkets here did not have alcohol, then the marketing of wine with your pasta dinner was a thing. It created a bigger monster and suffered myself from it all whether or not it was my fault or something else. It's all controversial and beyond the scope of this forum.

USA is such a divided entity, you say weed shops everywhere and my friend who is a musician on Disney cruise ships has to have drug tests just for playing guitar and singing. It's not just the USA BTW, the whole world is lunacy and the progression of civilisation whilst current nuclear weapon threats makes arguments about Lumix S5 being obsolete a pleasing alternative Z04 Breakdance.gif
