*** April 2026 Image & Video Thread ***

Our tour group did a walking tour of a part of Sarajevo, had a wonderful dinner, and were headed back to the hotel when I took this shot. This is a straight out of the camera JPG that has been resized for upload to the forum. S9+TT 40mm f2

On Saturday we took my daughters to meet some of their friends at a huge sports complex in a nearby town. It's a public one and, quite typically, parts are in good condition while others are a little decrepit. In this case I found the largest tennis court where the court itself seemed new but the seating was older, faded to pastels and in some places overgrown with plants. It was a nice place for photographing and if I go back I'll probably take an ultra-wide and some film.

These were all shot with the Sigma 35mm and 50mm f/2 DG DN lenses.

Those chairs offer a lot of creative potential!

The new parliament building of Tajikistan. Just the tried and true 24-105, and tried the new lightroom "film-inspired" presets. This one is "deep sage." I think what I like about filmic presets is it takes some of the color contrast out which gives you more of a cohesive color palette. If I just tuned this image to get the richest colors I could all over, I think there would be distracting elements like the yellows in the streetlights. One thing that I'm realizing now is that I was trying to add some warmth into my second image using masks and it wasn't working. Well duh - because I'm doing it under a custom color profile I should have pulled it into photoshop and made a separate layer and experimented with bringing in some contrasting oranges for a blue-orange look.
