At IBC 2025 Sigma introduced the new cine lens with autofocus 28-45mm T2.

What is different from the Sigma 28-45 f/1.8 DG DN Art? A 200-degree focus throw, hard stops, and a linear focus response rather than the progressive feel of a stills lens.
"These adjustments let filmmakers use the lens like a traditional cine zoom for precise manual work. They can switch on the autofocus motor when speed or flexibility is required".

The price is $3.400 ($3.399) and is available for pre-order. In Europe will be at €3.000 (€2.999, to be more precise)
By the way, another AF Cine lens from Sigma is coming in early 2026: the Sigma 28-105mm T3 AF CINE LINE.

Interesting, the filmmakers I know dislike zoom lenses, and consider them something amateurs use. (Of course as a bona fide amateur I sometimes use zoom for video, but I wouldn't pay that much for the privilege.)
