News S9 and S1H firmware updates are available (March 2025)

I just received a notification via the LUMIX Discord channel that firmware updates have been released for the S9 and S1H.

The S1H update is minor - just two items listed:

S1H Ver.2.8 - Mar. 25, 2025

1. Added a pop-up message when using a Panasonic collapsible lens
2. Improved operational stability

The S9 update has a number of changes to Wi-Fi connectivity:

S9 Ver.1.3 - Mar. 25, 2025

1. Feature changes due to security enhancements
   • When directly connecting the camera and smartphone via Wi-Fi, the connection has been changed to always require password authentication. (The [Wi-Fi Password] menu has been removed.)
   • The [TKIP] encryption method is no longer supported when connecting to Wi-Fi via an access point.
   • The [No Encryption] option in network authentication is no longer supported when connecting to Wi-Fi via an access point.
   • The image transfer feature to PC via Wi-Fi has been removed. (Only European/Ukrainian models)
2. Other improvements
   • The startup speed when powering on has been improved.
   • The operational stability has been improved.

I've not downloaded/installed the S9 update yet as I am currently at work so I can't comment on the better startup speed or the nebulous "operational stability" yet.
