This was unexpected, but a new firmware with 2 fixes is available for the S5II, S5IIX, S9 and GH7 cameras:

- Video recording stopped when the wireless connection to Support for LUMIX Smartphone App, LUMIX Flow or LUMIX Lab was interrupted. This phenomenon has been improved.
- Circle-like noise appeared on the monitor when APS-C lenses were removed without turning off the camera. This bug has been fixed.

Someone on Reddit was saying that all new Lumix firmware removes the ability to determine the shutter count of a camera. I have never done that with my S5 since I bought it new but if this is true then it certainly seems like a backwards step. There was a suggestion that it was to prevent returns due to non-zero counts on new cameras, which is completely normal due to factory testing. It could also be to torpedo the used market and push people to buy new since they won't be able to determine the shutter count of a used body.
