Welll dust has settled at last. A scenic loop has closed and I'm back the s5.
The improved screens on the s1 are very nice, but the weight gain had me reaching for the gx7 more frequently. I examined the z6 as a possibility, but nikon's design isn't quite suitable for me. A dealer with an s5 offered a nearly straight trade so here I am (again).
This time I will refrain from a native telephoto zoom. Too much expense and bulk; the new 20-200 Sigma nearly changes that, but medical bills need to be paid off first. I returned the meike 35 and plan for either ttartisan 40 or 75mm next. I've been having fun with some old 1-touch zooms in F mount (vivitar 70-150, sigma 35-200) and will use them for now, along with 135/200/300 primes - and my favorite 20-60.
