*** October 2024 Image and Video Thread ***

I was a weekend in September in Viena with my family and I was able to take a couple of videos and fotos. I wouldn't call it "street videography"... (It sounds a bit pretentious).

I don't have time for color grading, so I opted to apply an "old kodachrome film" LUT for the videos with my S5II. All taken with the Lumix S 35mm f/1.8, without a tripod and without any correction in post. The short timelapse in the beginning was made with the DJI Osmo Action 4. I just put the videos in a row and some ambient music.

Of course the quality of the video is far from what I would like to do when I have time for this outside of my job, but it is what it is...

Wel done Xavier

Loved the colours in that Xavier, it shows how good the LUT loader feature is in S5ii and I'm glad I have this capability as I'm never going to be arsed with vlog and post production grading.

This LUT feature is growing more and more apparently useful or essential. Videography is on the rise.

Well, I guess I'm a late boomer, but I'm just not interested in video. Take Xavier's video for example - I got 39s into it and just clicked away. I didn't find it interesting or compelling. On the other hand, I find most of Xavier's stills work excellent.

Nice work Xavier and very steady for handheld! The colours look great.

The annual Transport Heritage Expo is on in Sydney this weekend.

This is a collection of heritage buses outside Central Railway Station.
