I've been using the S1Rii as my main camera ever since it arrived so the S5 has been gathering dust. But I did a short trip to Norway at the end of last month and thought I'd mostly be doing family shots and mostly in poor light, so I decided just to take the S5 and the Sigma 35mm f2. I was absolutely delighted by this combo and the results from it. The S5 performed faultlessly, including AF on people in poor light. And the images have a certain "je ne sais crois" about them. This is partly down to the Sigma 35mm which is super sharp with great OOF rendering, but I think the S5 played a bog part too. And you know, 24Mp is really more than enough for most things. Anyhow, here are a few examples - all S5 with Sigma 35mm f2.
