Cooke SP3 T2.4 Full Frame cine primes... in L mount!

Cooke has released a new line of lenses that matches the classic image of their Speed Panchro designs. But they are more compact, have improved colour consistency, and ergonomicsaimed at contemporary cameras.

The set of 25mm, 32mm, 50mm, 75mm, and 100mm are T2.4 and cover full frame. Mass is 500 to 690 g with common size and front filter (except for the 100mm).

These come in native E-mount but with a user kit to swap to RF mount. An optional L-mount kit is available as an accessory purchase. An optional M-mount kit is still to come.

Price is around €4,500 each. Compare this to a Panchro/i Classic FF T2.2 in PL-mount at around €14,000.

It saves Cooke stocking lots of different inventory, so makes sense at a business level!

I missed this announcement, that's pretty interesting. $4500 is still a big chunk of change but it actually puts the prospect of cooke glass a lot more realistic for small productions. With the mount kits that makes stocking it for rental houses so much more practical.
